FineFuture
The assumption of the project entitled "Development of technology to improve the yield of useful metals contained in small particles in the process of mineral processing", acronym FineFuture, is to develop technology leading to an improvement in yield of useful metals in the flotation process. The three-year research project implemented in an international consortium has been 100% funded by the European Union.

OPMO
Another research project called "Monitoring of crushing machines", acronym OPMO, is aimed at developing a prototype of a combined monitoring and diagnostic system to improve the maintenance efficiency of a system of mineral crushing machines in the process of ore processing. It is implemented in cooperation with research units and companies from Poland and Finland.

MaMMa
The third research project for which KGHM has obtained funding is 'Maintenance of the mine and equipment', acronym MaMMa. Its aim is to build a system supporting the maintenance of machines in underground mines, based on machine monitoring, new algorithms and diagnostic methods.

illuMINEation
The aim of the project "Development of the building monitoring system towards the use of machine learning and artificial intelligence" is the development of systems facilitating deposit mining management processes based on the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) concept. As part of the project, KGHM, together with its Polish partner GEOTEKO company, is planning to develop machine learning algorithms and artificial intelligence dedicated to OUOW Żelazny Most condition monitoring systems. Project implemented under Horizon 2020.
Batterflai
The aim of the project "Sustainable supply of minerals necessary for the production of lithium batteries using biodegradable, low carbon footprint, nano-grained flotation reagents" is to develop a new type of flotation reagents based on organic polymers for the production of metals such as Cu, Ni, Co or Au. The expected benefits of the project are the introduction of biodegradable reagents into the flotation process and the development of techniques to increase the efficiency of the flotation process. The project is carried out under the EIT KIC RawMaterials.
RevRis
The main objective of the project "Revitalisation of post-mining regions: Problems and Potential in RIS EUROPE" is to develop models and evaluation methods for a "toolbox" for entrepreneurs, regional decision-makers (local and regional governments, communities) and good practice in giving new functions to post-industrial mining sites. The project provides for the development of preliminary assumptions for the reclamation of the Lubin West area. The project is carried out under the EIT KIC RawMaterials.
