Currently the State Treasury holds 31.79% (or 63 589 900) shares of the Company, the fund Nationale-Nederlanden OFE 5.05% and the fund Aviva OFE 5.02%. The remainder is held by Polish and foreign shareholders, both individual and institutional, representing the so-called „free float”.

KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. debuted on the Warsaw Stock Exchange (GPW) in July 1997. The share capital of the Company amounts to 2 000 000 000 PLN and is represented by 200 000 000 ordinary bearer shares having a nominal value of 10 PLN each. Each share represents one vote at the General Shareholders Meeting.
The company’s shares are traded on the GPW’s primary market in a continuous trading system and are a component of the indices: WIG, WIG20, WIG20TR, WIG30, WIG30TR, WIG-GÓRNICTWO, WIG-Poland, WIG.MS-BAS, WIG-ESG, CEEplus, and by the end of 2019 also RESPECT Index.
In 2018 KGHM joined the FTSE4Good Index Series published by the London Stock Exchange. The FTSE4Good Index Series is designed to measure the performance of companies demonstrating strong Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practices. KGHM perceives joining the FTSE4Good as an award for its solid performance in complying with demanding ESG standards.
