Information on identification of indications to verify the recoverable amount of Polish and international assets of the KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. Group

The Management Board of KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. (“the Company”) announces that as a result of reviewing the technical and economic parameters of Polish and international assets of the KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. Group as at the end of the reporting period, i.e. on 31 December 2025, the following were identified:

  1. indications of the possibility of impairment of property, plant and equipment of Centrozłom Wrocław S.A. and Uzdrowiska Kłodzkie S.A. – Grupa PGU (impact on the consolidated financial statements of the KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. Group);

  2. indications of the possibility of impairment of PMT Linie Kolejowe Sp. z o.o. (impact on the separate financial statements of KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. and consolidated financial statements of the KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. Group);

  3. indications that the impairment loss recognised in prior periods may be reduced with respect to shares in Future 1 Sp. z o.o. (impact on the separate financial statements of KGHM Polska Miedź S.A.);

  4. indications that the impairment loss on non-current assets of the joint venture Sierra Gorda recognised in prior periods may be reduced (indirect impact on the consolidated financial statements of the KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. Group). The result of the conducted impairment testing of non-current assets of the joint venture Sierra Gorda may result in a positive valuation using the equity method of shares in the joint venture  (impact on the consolidated financial statements of the KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. Group). 

As a result, pursuant to IAS 36, the Company is obliged to conduct tests for impairment as at the end of the reporting period, i.e. 31 December 2025, in order to estimate the recoverable amount with respect to the aforementioned assets. The results of the verification of the amounts of these assets will be disclosed by the Company in a separate regulatory filing.
