The concept adopted for the uniform and its colours emphasises the inseparable link and cooperation between the two basic industries operating at KGHM, i.e. mining and metallurgy. This maintains the symbolism of the colours that make up the mining and metallurgists' flag, whose common feature is the black colour. The colour, referring in its original meaning to the depths of the mines, also symbolises the qualities that characterise both professions, such as prudence and wisdom. The copper colour, on the other hand, refers to the colour of fire and molten metal, characteristic elements of the work at the metallurgical furnaces. |
