CSR Projects

KGHM, as a good neighbor, participates in the life of local communities and engages in activities to promote health, education, the arts and sport by a variety of social programs.

KGHM implements CSR programs wherever it has operations. Acting in line with the organisation's value system, the company strives to satisfy the individual needs of local communities and actively deals with challenges related to environmental protection.

In Poland, KGHM is involved in the following community programs:

Copper Heart - this is the company's volunteering program. Volunteers carry out their own projects to benefit local communities. For example, they collect money and clothes for needy children or take care of animals. A spectacular example of this program is KGHM's Bone Marrow Team. More than 1000 potential donors have been registered and four employees have donated bone marrow, saving the lives of other people.

Eco-health - program promoting environmental protection, preventative health measures and an active lifestyle among local communities. The program also invites people to participate in sport classes and medical tests and promotes a health lifestyle. Activities such as sport and recreation classes, including nordic walking, swimming, overnight trips and many others, are available for various age groups.

Innovation Zone - this is a platform for sharing experience and developing managerial skills. As part of the program, KGHM shares its knowledge and experience with its business partners, the media and government institutions and, at the same time, supports the international expansion of Polish companies. Workshops for the owners and managerial staff of companies that wish to become global players are organised as part of the program.
