In 2009 the company launched Program of Energy Efficiency in the Technological Row  of KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. In 2015 the scope of the project was extended, due to the need to adapt the project to the objectives of the PN-EN ISO 50001: 2012, changes in approach and to intensify work of energy efficiency improvement. With implementation of the project was able to reduce the cost of acquiring energy factors (such as electricity, heat, natural nitrogen-rich gas, etc.) by about 14%. Because of the fact that, savings are mainly based on the reduction of demand for energy, the effect of the preferred impact on the environment - reducing CO2 emissions was also achieved.

The company has already identified potential of energy savings for the coming years and still continue looking for new capabilities to reduce the need for energy while developing production capabilities.
