KGHM awarded in "Polish Company - International Champion" contest

KGHM is within distinguished group of Polish innovators succeeding in the world. The company has been awarded in the fourth edition of the contest organized by PwC and "Puls Biznesu" daily.

"Polish Company - International Champion" contest is an opportunity to award two important phenomena of the Polish economy, without which it would not be able to grow: foreign investments and exports. According to the organizers of the competition a key role in both areas is played by domestic champions who have achieved success not only in the country, but also in foreign markets. KGHM was among the awarded companies, whose investment strategies and export have achieved the highest rating.

Mateusz Morawiecki, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Development congratulated the winners, stressing the role of exports in sustainable economic development. - Export is a test of the competitiveness of Polish products and solutions. We can be proud of what we have achieved thanks to exports, but I dream of more. There is no better ambassador of our country in the world than Polish product. We must do everything to help Polish companies to export. Next twenty-five years of our economy depends on them - said Mateusz Morawiecki.

It has been emphasized during the gala that in the "Polish company - International Champion" contest what is appreciated above all is business decisiveness and boldness. It can also serve as an incentive for other Polish businesses, which through real-life examples can see benefits of international expansion. A chance for Poland is the fact that the global market is constantly changing. As a result, the dominant players of today may soon be replaced by new companies and countries, among which - alongside India and Mexico – there may be also a place for Poland.
