Under its social responsibility programme (EKO-Zdrowie), KGHM organises fitness classes for overweight persons.

The new project is dedicated to persons aged 18-55 years that suffer from obesity. Participation in the classes will be preceded by medical qualification (medical exam and consultations with doctors and nurses) intended to select persons whose medical condition allows them to participate in the training sessions.

Medical qualification will be performed by Miedziowe Centrum Zdrowia S.A. in its centres in Głogów and Lubin. The doctors will select two 30-person groups, who will later participate in classes held by qualified instructors in fitness clubs: Pure Jatomi Platinum Fitness in Lubin and Akademia Ruchu in Głogów in a three-month training cycle (April-June 2015).

Participation is free, which means that KGHM finances both medical exams and consultations as well as the fitness training sessions.
