The Management Board of KGHM has adopted the KGHM Corporate Social Responsibility Strategy for the years 2015-2020. The strategy is a global strategy for the entire KGHM, hence it contains no distinction between the area of KGHM Polish Copper and the area of KGHM International.

The document is based on five pillars - strategic objectives that have been identified as crucial. The five key pillars of the strategy are: globalization of the area of CSR, improvement of cooperation with local communities, strengthening the position of a trusted and stable business partner and building an image of an environmentally friendly company.

The strategy was based on the Ten Global Compact Principles - the UN initiative dedicated to the global implementation of the CSR mission. It complies with the guidelines of the International Mining and Metals Council, and the guidelines of the World Reporting Initiative (G4) concerning the reporting on sustainable development.
